The “MIR” – residents - are in a training period in which their competence as future specialists will be consolidated. They therefore make up a significant group as regards the acquisition of attitudes, conduct and skills which will allow them to carry out correctly their profession as doctors under healthy conditions. The psycho-affective impact is especially important as it directly involves in itself their profession as doctors. However, several studies carried out in other countries warn that the current conditions in which resident training is carried out (heavy work load, deficient supervision, changes in sleep patterns, competitiveness, future job prospects,...) can also be the beginning of stress-related problems, burn-out, and other psychic and addictive forms of conduct.
