The health of resident doctors

Workshop for resident doctors

Objective:
A specialist doctor’s training period, in addition to the acquisition of a technical base and knowledge, involves the adoption of behavioural and professional attitudes that will form the basis of good praxis. This period should be exploited in order to:

  • Raise awareness about the importance of looking after one’s own health and orientation on how this can be achieved.
  • Provide knowledge of the tools necessary to understand the contemporary health context and the psycho-social risk factors at play, in order to take full advantage of the resident training period.

Methodology:

The workshops will be based on practical exercises and case discussions relating to problems in the workplace suffered by resident doctors and the use of data and theoretical concepts that will aid in understanding and facing up to such problems.

Participants:

Resident doctors at the health institution soliciting the workshop (maximum of 20 participants).

Venue: Soliciting health institution.

Duration: 4 hours.
