The health of resident doctors

Workshop for prevention of occupational hazards services

Objective:
Since 2005, entrance exams for resident doctor posts have involved a health review for candidates in order to guarantee that they are capable of carrying out their chosen speciality.

Given the legal complexity involved in applying this measure and taking into account the experience accumulated by the Comprehensive Care Programme for the Sick Doctor (PAIMM as per its acronym in Catalan), this workshop aims to provide resources and tools that can assist in making the application of this state-wide ruling a process that helps to improve the quality of training for our future specialists, avoids alarming interpretations of the legal framework and fosters a vision favouring integration of psychiatric health issues.

Methodology:

The workshops will set forth theoretical concepts, discuss practical cases and include tests and interviews.

Participants:

Professionals pertaining to the Prevention of Occupational Hazards Services (maximum of 20 participants).

Venue: 1st edition programmed to take place on Wednesday 25th November and Wednesday 2nd December from 09:00 – 14:00 at the COMB (MedicalCouncilBuilding - Barcelona).

Duration: 10 hours.
