PAIMM convinces ill doctors to ask for help voluntarily and early on

this June, the article “Promoting voluntary help-seeking among doctors with mental disorders” (Dr. Dolores Braquehais et al.) was published in the International Journal of Occupational Medicine and Environmental Health. The aim of this study was to determine whether the PAIMM has succeeded in convincing ill doctors to request help voluntarily and early on.

The article concludes that if treatment is obligatory in non-punitive programs designed for ill professionals, these individuals only request assistance if there is a risk or evidence of malpractice.

Take a look at the article.
